Hello!
Mom, you asked what my
days are like so here is my day: 7:00 am waking up in the
morning... we exercise....kinda.
It is like 2 pushups and half a sit up. other days
we jog, It's great when we do take the time to jog.
Then we get ready
and dressed for the day.
Personal study time
companion study (my
companion knows everything about the doctrine and I feel like I know
nothing around him.)
But, we make plans for our investigators. I found out I am
pretty much his first companion that isn't super lazy or
so hey that's a
compliment!
We leave at 10:00 a.m..
Normally we have service or a meeting during the week and on weekends we
eat with members
or less-actives and get referrals from them.. I am
trying to bond with the members but its hard to talk fast enough
to make
jokes and converse in a different language but many times the gift of tongues
helps.
Then we have lunch with
a member it is usually soups, chicken or something aways with rice. the
flavor is always savory
and I love it. I eat so much and think I've gained
weight already. Then we leave to teach and find, return at 9:00 p.m
to our
apartment., plan and eat dinner with Hermana Elsa and the family (the dad
works for maintenance for church
buildings and the temple) then we sleep. That
is my day.
For p-day today,
we went to plaza Norte and ate bbq bacon blue cheese burgers and
milkshakes. Guys, I'm sorry but
I'm not suffering like you guys did on your
missions. The food is fantastic. and I love beans for some reason. It was weird
to be in a mall that was like the fashion show mall. It was our last time
leaving the zone as a zone for a p day. from now
on we have to stay in our own
area.
Four of our
investigators have baptismal dates! but only 2 attended church
yesterday,. that is our problem but we are
working with them. The other two
have been reading the Book of Mormon and come with questions. They are
fantastic and
we have those two for Baptism for December 17th. One is in
the University, has dated a Mormon for 5 years, is a
photographer, and wants to
get married. The other is a 15 year old girl and really has a testimony. We
talk with her family
tonight about the baptism.
To quote Nephi, Life
could not be better, when I "choose the right" down to the letter.
Obedience is the key .I have learned
that principle and we are implementing
obedience as a companionship. I love teaching the gospel and trying to
help the
individual. It's the Greatest thing to be doing right now in my
life. Love you all! Have a fantastic week!
Love,
Elder Foutz
