Hello! I hope birthday and Halloween celebrations were fantastic. It sounds like it! I'm glad Navy's scans were good and that you guys could go down to have fun as well! Kevin congrats on the ARIZONA Job offer! Sounds perfect! And tell me about Disneyland please.
Um... yes I wrote a pethetic letter last week. Sorry I hope to fulfill your dreams ahorita.
Ok. Companion. Elder Primo. He has been diligent in being obedient and learning Spanish. He has 8 months and likes Tae Kwan Do and stuff. I am grateful for him! We agree on pretty much everything. He's also very personable so that is helpful.
Where we live. I'm in San Agustin Barrio (ward) in the Comas Stake. Micaela is the main road we cross everyday. My area is kinda small and we have a hard time finding new people. People say it's because it's "flat." We live above the Feliciano family and they are great! We eat with them every night and she makes good food! It is mostly chicken and rice or chaufa. But yes, it's my area that has good food. When I go in the poorer areas it'll be worse, like liver and heart and beautiful things. They are a family of girls and Emily likes pokemon cards so she shows us her new ones every night. The dad sells paintings and it must be successful or something because their house is nicer than others.
People. Alex. He is convert of a year, 16, and dyed his hair rubio (red) and now it's becoming black again. He loves anime and his little sister Emily's age loves....wait for it... Pokemon. Apparently its a feminine thing here so that is interesting!
Katy, Nicole, and Mario. Awesome family! Katy and NIcole are converts and Mario isnt. So many missionaries have tried. He works at a Gloria factory (ask Kevin what that is) and they are always so open and kind to us and Nicole even made this giant list of slang words so I can understand. We do FHE every week with them and another family of converts that is learning English. I taught it on comparing Alma 36 with Mosiah 27. Time is almost up because we were late so here are funny stories.
I sleep talk. One time is said ''I can do all things'' over and over and my companion uses that against me. Whenever I can't, apparently I can do all things such as learn a million words in a day! Another time I said something about un persona da un estrellita a un otra persona. That is th first and last time I'll ever say "estrellita."
I love mangos and apricots and chaufa and everything except for the potatoes in the thick yellow sauce. That is funny because that's the only thing I wanted before. Imagine 3 liters cold nachos cheese on a few potato slices with a little bit of spice. It's like swallowing that stuff.
I love it here and my testimony has grown! I just need to work on connecting with people better! I hate dogs. Thank you for all being supportive and amazing!
Con mucho amor,
Elder Foutz
