6th letter October 19th 2016

Thanks for all the pictures!  Are you guys on property brothers or something?  The house is entirely different!  Everett Navy,   Scarlett and Riley look like giants or something?!  They just look so old! and guess what its only been like 5 to 6 weeks. Anyway, what nice vintage style with the wooden frame!  Tell Navy and Everett that this is my last week in a little place.   When I can go outside I'll begin my search for the talking bears.  A lot of people are going to Iquitos so I'll tell them to watch out for the endangered species.  Lauren, I loved the picture in front of Lincoln!  I hope you had a good flight and are having fun in Vegas!!!!   Chelsea and Brandon!!!! I loved the pictures and Navy in her glasses!   Kevin and Paige, thanks for the hipster pics you should post it on my insta.  Also thanks for the scripture!  Madeline and Evan, ITS THE BIGGEST WEEK OF YOUR LIVES!!!!!   I'm so excited for you!!!!!   Just remember the covenant and that's the most important part!!!! Mom and Dad, thanks for the letters every week!   I appreciate them!!!  Everyone here is so jealous.
I just got back from the temple and we came back a little late so I don't have 100000000 years to write....

OK people, this next week is my last week in the CCM. CRrrrrrr(cause no puedo roll me rrrrrrs)A-SY AND I FEEL LIKE I KNOW NOTHING!!!!!!!   This week was fantastic. We learned especially to teach people (like everything else focused on in the CCM cause we need it) and teaching unto repentance!   There has been a lot of focus on that just from our district leaders and I can see the difference when we teach with other districts.   The repentance really is for them and if you do it in a loving manner, it is better than just teaching the restoration by like 10000000000x.

We have had a total of about 5 talks by Elder Bednar while in the CCM whether they were from before or the one he just gave last night. but the one last night was about GC and making it the walk and talk of our lives for the next 6 months. and also extracting the doctrine, invitation, and blessing of each talk.  It makes me want to study them more!!!   In another talk he also challenged us to restart the Book of Mormon with a question or topic in mind and only mark according to that. while I feel like I've heard this challenge way to much for not actually doing it, I decided to do it!  It's been amazing so far to see how much is on families!!!  We watched Testaments AND "Only a Stonecutter" on Sunday and also had amazing talks from the Moores! I also had a health class so Mom, I'm salud-y.

Besides that our fake investigators are doing great. The following is a secret but just don't tell anyone in Peru Ok?  So Hermana Luna our night teacher who is pregnant has always said that she's married to Carlos, an engineering student. We found out through a series of events that her husband is Kevin. so one night we just asked her if Carlos knew about Kevin jokingly.  His name is Carlos Kevin Quintana and she doesn't wear her name tag for that reason and they met here. It is just a funny situation.

Funny things: they brought sublime (pronounced sub-leem- eh, like a canadian) to the CCM!  The wife of one of the senior missionary doctors was totally doing a Joanne Foutz thing and running and telling all the missionaries on the way to the freezer "they brought the sublimes, they have sublimes!"

A guy in my room last night Elder williams said that to say "it is what it is" you spell out the word SOCKS (es o si que es: it is or if that is). makes sense but I still have my suspicions...

i bought 3 ties at the temple from probably the same guy that sold one to Kevin that gave me one.  It was kinda weird #INCEPTION

We now do a nightly roast where we roast someone about their life and anything we ask them. It's really like primary question time but we like to feel evil by calling it a roast sesh.

I'm excited to go out into the campo!!!! I just want to say I might not be writing next week, or so is the rumor from the last group, but if i do it'll be short.  I hope that the wedding goes well!  Eat some good food and I'll be over here eating Chaufa, which is better, so there.  I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I've gained such a testimony of the need for missionary work and helping all these people!!!!!
Elder Foutz
