10th letter November 14th 2016

Hola Familia,

OK, So. No hablo espanol. ( I cannot speak Spanish!)  I am really trying !. My area has been really hard this week.  Alex is a convert who we are helping to stay strong and it's working and Mario came to church yesterday!
We just got instruction from our mission president that we aren't here to reactivate but we as missionaries are here for new investigators!
My first week a man named Teovaldo caught us eating and said he would like to come back to church! He's awesome and patient but is now reactivated! It was hard last week when all of our ''progressing investigators stopped progressing. They all know what to do but they just don't want to change , which I can totally relate to but its hard to send a message with the spirit that lets them know that THIS GOSPEL WILL REALLY WILL HELP THEM!

A miracle though is that we still had 10 non-members come to church! I'm trying hard to have a relationship with the members of the ward. People tell us all the time that our  area is hard because it  is  flat. Meaning, the more wealthy people live in the flat areas and the less wealthy, the more humble live on the hills.

We are teaching a lady who can't read but has such a strong testimony We found her in the area binder. so we are hoping she will have a date soon!

My biggest struggle is contacting people while trying to speak Spanish without being and feeling  awkward,  that is hard. Please advice me my fellow latino americano misioneros. (siblings who have served Latin missions!)
Love you all! I am studying alot and learning alot about how to teach the Restoration of the Gospel with more power!

Every time I have a lesson or even walking in the street, everyone and their dog brings up the subject of Donald Trump. Whether it is an investigator or a guy in a mototaxi, it's everywhere..... they won't  talk to me unless I say I hate him too. Nobody likes Trump down here in Peru....but I hope all is going well there!

Love you all!!!
