Dear Family
I was thinking this week how Lauren the first of our family was such an example of serving a mission and she didn't have the older siblings like I do now to help me through this time. Thanks Sis! With 3 older siblings having served Spanish speaking missions , I am grateful for your advice and experiences you have shared with me.
We are teaching a young woman that has been dating a strong member of the church and he is actually leaving in January for his mission. This young woman has a testimony and wants to be baptized. We are doing a FHE with she and her family tonight.
I am trying my hardest to speak Spanish where they can understand me! But, still no one understands what I am trying to say. I am just working on not being too awkward with the language. I didn't realize this was going to be my biggest problem-communicating and trying to teach. My companion from Columbia is great and really trying to help me!
I love the Gospel and I thank you for all your prayers. The light of the Gospel is for everyone!
