Second letter

September 21st

Following this format will be hard but anyway. I'm glad to hear all is well.  I loved Lauren's pictures. Madeline sent me too many pictures of me and not enough of her, thanks!  Chelsea I WANT MORE INFO ON FLORIDA! Please just send every telegram to me and I will be satisfied.

Ok. I've been here for a year. (feels like) Every other day we have a morning class with Hermano Sosa on conversational speaking and a night class from Hermana Luna on teaching in Spanish. They use no English and I doubt they know much (English) but they are really good teachers and its coming slowly. My companion is Elder Johnson and he's the best, wants to be very obedient, and is always optimistic. We have (our) earthquake circle and we call them the seabear circles (for Evan and Paige) but the food is awesome, rice and meat and sometimes they mix it up. So stress (ful situation). the SECOND NIGHT, we had to teach our first investigator entirely in Spanish and let me tell you that was very difficult, but we are getting better. We can even feel the Spirit when it's a fake investigator.  There are only guys in our district and I have 0 contact with any sisters, but Elder Edwards is in the district and that's awesome. We are kinda diverse but it works. We have an hour of physical activity everyday and my companion and I play soccer except for me running yesterday. That felt good. The sky has been a nice overcast with a few sunny (days) in there. The overcast sky is BEAUTIFUL and low key.  It would be really good if I had a nice camera. We teach our bff Angela every night and will commit her to baptism tonight. On sunday we had English teachers and had a very spiritual meeting. We also watched legacy and I do love my mormon movies. I haven't felt too home sick. So mom thank you so much for the letter.  Everyone was jealous. But it was filthy wet from all the tears (JoAnne's). Let me tell you. I love it here and didn't even have that first night experience. Oh yes, so each room crams 6 in but we have two open beds.  It's roomy ;) sorry bad pun.  The two guys (Elders) with me and my companion have been here for 3 weeks. They are all going to Lima Sur (South).  We watched Elder Christopherson last night and I was told that I was to do the prelude but i didn't have to because an older sister got it.  I'm the only one in my district that can play and we are in charge of sacrament meeting my last week so I better start practicing!!!!  The temple is closed for 4 weeks and that's where we go on pdays so we have too much free time here.  I love the food Mom but I'm rationing it out. I'm totally OK and trust me when I say I'm not going without. I like these weird fruit that we call the mucus fruit. It's going to be a long 3 weeks but that will be OK.
So I'm reading our heritage and I love the church history in that book. It's so interesting. a spiritual thought might be from when I was listening to Lamb of God and comparing when Peter lost a bit of faith when walking on water, if you listen to Sea of Tiberius or whatever he jumps out and swims to Christ now that he is converted. Was that not good enough?   Well, here's another one. Elder Christofferson said to the missionaries that repentance is the ticket to gain forgiveness. so it really is on us  to cry repentance. not in a harsh way but in a way that makes us truly closer to Christ I love you and I'm fine and love it here!!!!
